Charity

As a local company, we have a strong belief in supporting local communities.

We like to go the extra mile to ensure that we are helping to develop local areas, as well as supporting local causes wherever we can:

Community Improvement Projects

We recognise there are great people with great ideas on how to improve their local area. We are keen and willing to support projects that are local to where we are building new homes for the benefit of the community.

Local Event Sponsorship & Charity Events

Are you running a local event in aid of a charity? Whether it is a local or national event, we can help with sponsorship and we will of course prioritise events for local charities.

We support charities and events such as:

Team Oakmere:

We don’t just sponsor local communities and charity events, here at ‘Team Oakmere’ we also like to get involved and do our part in raising money for charities close to our hearts!

Race for Life Pretty Muddy:

Once again Team Oakmere turned out together for the Race for Life Pretty Muddy in Carlisle on Sunday 22nd May 2022 – A brilliant 5k muddy obstacle course, saw them scramble over A-frames, crawl through tunnels and leap (fall) into mud pits!!

Well done for smashing it Team Oakmere, a great team effort.

Thank you to everyone who has donated, it is very much appreciated! …. and we are pleased to announce so far, they have raised a massive £2,980.00

“C2B” Coniston to Barrow – 21 miles:

We did it! Team Oakmere successfully completed the C2B walk on 7th May 2022 (Coniston to Barrow – 21 miles), we would like to thank everyone who sponsored us for this event which was very much appreciated; donations are still coming in so we will confirm the final amount raised in due course, however, we have smashed our target of £1,500 and donations are still coming in, so far our total is in excess of £2,590!!

Our two charities we chose to support was North West Air Ambulance and Macmillan Cancer Support.

“C2C” Coast to Coast:

Team Oakmere are pleased to announce they raised a whopping £4,005 for Alzheimer’s Research through their fundraising efforts in taking on the “C2C” Coast to Coast cycle challenge.

The team endured a wet start with heaps of persistent rain on Friday 30th July 2020 when they tackled the first leg from Whitehaven to Alston, undeterred they covered 81 miles and a leg burning 7,200 ft of climbs to reach their waypoint for the night, just in time for tea.

The following day, they tackled the 3 major climbs in quick succession totalling 3,600 ft and bagged a further 60 miles before raising a celebratory glass at Tynemouth pier.

Alzheimer’s Research are the leading dementia and Alzheimer’s disease research charity whose vision is of a world where people are free from the fear, harm and heartbreak of dementia. A very worthy charity who fund the innovative science that we hope will deliver a cure for dementia.
